A focus on play and education in new St John WA partnership

St John WA has partnered with Playgroup WA, a not-for-profit organisation dedicated to supporting, servicing, and establishing playgroups throughout Western Australia.

Their mission is to foster environments where children aged 0 to 5 years and their parents or caregivers can regularly meet, play, and form supportive relationships within their local communities.

Playgroup WA’s annual Fun Day was held on November 20, with SJWA joining in to engage with families, promote the partnership with Playgroup WA, and raise awareness of first aid for parents and young children.

Teams from Youth and Community, First Aid and Fundraising, and Event Health Services were in attendance to provide an educational experience for children, teaching them important safety information, such as the emergency number to call (000), while giving them a hands-on look inside an ambulance.

Kura Bear was there to entertain the children who loved the SJWA educational activity books and ambulance tours.
