Celebrating a legacy: 120 years of Event Health Services
Event Health Services (EHS) celebrated its 120th anniversary on December 14, 2024.
Established with its inaugural meeting held on 23 December 1904, and originally known as the St John Ambulance Brigade, EHS has been a cornerstone in delivering first aid and health services at events across Western Australia, embodying a proud legacy of dedication and care.
Joined by EHS members past and present, members of the Order, Board Chair Sally Carbon and Group CEO Kevin Brown, the milestone was marked by a celebratory event that honoured EHS’ rich history and vibrant present.
Guests were greeted with EHS memorabilia, including vintage and modern ambulances, display of museum items, canvas prints and a range of fun activities.
The Divisional Leadership Awards took centre stage, with Andrew Moffat being honoured as the Divisional Leader of the Year 2024 for his outstanding contributions.
The Highest Divisional Attendance Awards also recognised the commitment and participation of volunteers.
“EHS’s 120-year journey is a testament to the dedication of its volunteers and the enduring importance of first aid services in the community,” Chief Community Officer Darren Webb said.
This milestone event not only celebrated the achievements of the past but also reaffirmed Event Health Services’ commitment to providing exceptional health services for generations to come.
