St John WA on duty for fun and first aid at Perth Royal Show
St John WA was out in force at the 2026 Perth Royal Show, helping keep thousands of showgoers safe during eight days of rides, animals, entertainment and everything in between.
St John WA’s Event Health Services team provided medical support throughout the show, with paramedics, first aiders, ambulances and medical facilities on hand to respond to illness and injury.
The organisation has provided medical services at the Perth Royal Show since 1903, making it one of St John WA’s longest-running event commitments.

This year the 60-strong team responded to 386 clinical presentations and contributed more than 3000 volunteer hours to keep attendees safe.
St John WA’s Brand and Marketing team also joined the fun with 81 volunteers across the business handing out temporary tattoos and merchandise as well as running ambulance tours.
About 3000 people grabbed an item from the St John billboard (fans, gel heels, bandaids, dental floss, and sunglasses were all on offer).

And, in keeping with the show’s long tradition of showbags, St John WA also launched its tongue-in-cheek empty showbag, raising funds for the organisation’s work across WA.
More than a century after St John WA first attended the Perth Royal Show, the organisation continues to be a familiar and reassuring presence at one of WA’s biggest community events.
