A day in the life of St John WA: Impact Framework launched
St John WA’s services in community outside of emergency ambulance response are broad, dynamic and vibrant.
All these services came to light for donors, partners and community supporters at the Impact Launch hosted at State Office’s Coolamon Centre on Tuesday, November 18.
Group CEO Kevin Brown, Chief Preventative Officer Megs O’Donnell and Social Sustainability Manager Angel Robins introduced St John’s Impact Framework and the importance of the three pillars Help to Live Well, Help to Connect and Help to Respond.

As part of the launch, the audience was treated to a day in the life of St John WA via a video by Brent Balalas.

“We can’t do this work alone and we wouldn’t want to,” said Kevin.
“This is about partnering with those in those communities, who see the gaps and want to address health inefficiencies to keep people from having to call ambulance and develop a robust health legacy that keeps them around the dinner table at Christmas.”
John WA is a not-for-profit organisation which makes more than 1.33 million community connections each year through education programs, first aid training, community response networks, transport services, health outreach, and emergency care.
As a social enterprise, the revenue generated through commercial activities and from generous partners and donors are reinvested back into the community to increase preparedness, strengthen local capacity, and improve access to essential care.
Megs said St John’s new Here to Help brand supported the three pillars and connected to the organisation’s values.
Angel agreed, saying St John’s people, programs and partnerships were about coming together to create lasting change, especially in the places where access is hardest and needs are greatest.
“This has been 12 months of work and although it looks simple on one page, it represents so much good work already being done in the communities we serve,” said Angel.
“We can now proudly announce that we have an Impact Fund, which we hope to grow to help further develop those ideas and responses.”
