Caring for the community at Dowerin Field Days

Press Release

St John WA has continued its long-standing association with Dowerin Machinery Field Days by running the 2025 event’s first aid tent and arming regional students with first aid knowledge.

Volunteers and paramedics from surrounding sub centres were in attendance as thousands descended on Dowerin for the annual agricultural showcase.

Run over two days, the Field Days provide a “vital information highway and one stop shop for all farmers, primary producers, agricultural workers, and their families, in a community environment that encourages a unique engagement and connection with industry and commerce”, organisers said.

As well as providing first aid services for the annual event, St John WA ran a stand selling first aid products – including defibrillators – and did CPR demonstrations.

The stand was part of the event’s Schools Activity Trail, where students participated in hands-on activities throughout the day.

St John WA was also a beneficiary of Western Power’s Power to the People game, where participants at the Field Days nominated their preferred charity.

As well as looking after attendees’ first aid needs, information was on offer for anyone considering volunteering for St John WA.
