End of an era for decades long friendship

Rhonda Saville and Debra Daniels where among the last students to undertake three-year paid paramedicine apprenticeships at St John WA back in 2004, and now Rhonda is leaving life on-road to pursue a semi-retirement.

Team members gathered to celebrate Rhonda, share memories, and lament her leaving the team.

After more than two decades on-road, Rhonda has decided to step down from her full-time role with St John WA, marking the end of era for her work alongside Debra.

The two talked about their journey last year, highlighting how they bonded over their shared struggles as young mums in a predominately male-dominated industry.

While the two won’t be working together on-road again, their friendship is one that will stand the test of time.

What’s next for Rhonda?

She isn’t completely stepping away from the team in green.

After some well-deserved time off she’ll be returning in a casual capacity, serving the WA community where she can.

Thank you for your years of service, dedication and friendship, Rhonda.
