Meet the faces of St John WA’s bold new ‘Here to Help’ campaign
This September, St John WA is hitting the road – and the airwaves – with a fresh, feel-good campaign that puts real Western Australians in the spotlight.
Forget stock photos and staged scenes put together by east coast advertising agencies.
This campaign is all about authenticity, with everyday characters from regional communities front and centre, sharing what the organisation’s “Here to Help” promise really means – through their own eyes and in their own words.
When it came time to create the content soon to appear across the State, the St John WA brand team looked beyond city limits and straight into the heart of local life.
Rather than hiring actors or crafting fictional scenarios, they teamed up with community photographers to capture the true character of regional WA.
The result? A vibrant celebration of real people doing real – and sometimes wonderfully quirky – things.
From lawnmower racing in the Peel region to medieval reenactments in the South West … from foraging for honey ants in the Goldfields to hurtling down wine-country bike trails, every person featured has a genuine connection to St John WA.

Each story underscores the organisation’s unwavering commitment: whoever you are, whatever you do – we are Here to Help.
Launching mid-September, the campaign includes stunning static visuals captured by local, award-winning photographers, plus dynamic social media content featuring video stories from these larger-than-life locals.
You’ll meet:
- A king straight out of the Dark Ages,
- A pint-sized duo with a need for speed,
- True-blue outback characters,
- And plenty more unforgettable people who represent the rich, diverse spirit of WA.
More than just a campaign, this marks a new era in St John WA’s mission: to support and inspire Western Australians to live boldly, safely, and on their own terms.
This ethos of showing up, stepping in, and standing by every community is the heart of our work now, and into the future.
