National St John Ambulance campaign hits the road in Western Australia
St John Ambulance Australia has launched its first-ever national Drive-a-thon to empower communities across the country with lifesaving CPR skills.
Over 60 days, the Drive-a-thon van will travel more than 16,000 kms delivering free CPR training to 5000 Australians across every state and territory, while installing $50,000 of lifesaving Automated External Defibrillators (AEDs).
The van was donated by St John Ambulance South Australia and is generously operated by interstate volunteers.
Visit them at one of the six below locations across WA between October 20-30 to sharpen up your first responder skills for free.
Everyone is welcome to visit the locations, say hello, and make the crew feel welcome.
If you do attend, feel free to take some photos and send them to social@stjohnwa.com.au for use on SJWA’s public social media channels. Or tag @St John WA in your posts!
You can also watch the wrap up of the tour on Channel 7’s national broadcast of the St John Ambulance Carols by Candlelight on Sunday, 15 December.
A full list of Drive-a-thon locations, as well as information about how you can follow the journey, can be found at www.stjohndriveathon.com.au.
