Recognition Ceremony: Celebrating 180 dedicated team members

The second St John WA Recognition Ceremony of 2026 was held on 28 October at WA Government House.

The event, hosted by Group CEO, Kevin Brown, and Board Chair, Monish Paul, saw 180 recipients from across Blue and Black shifts receive various awards, including:

Promotions to Paramedic

• 49 graduates joining St John WA’s ranks after countless hours of studying, training and interning in pursuit of a dream – a passion to help the WA community.

Service Awards (10-45 years)

• 113 long-serving paid team members, who have collectively delivered 1700 years of service and have made immeasurable contributions to the organisation and the community.

National Medal and Clasps

• Nine National Medallists and six Clasp (5 First and 1 Second) recipients. The Medal is conferred after 15 years of eligible service, with clasps awarded for each additional 10 years of service.

Inaugural Emergency Rescue Helicopter Service Awards

• A new Award recognising the Aircrew Clinician Lead and two Critical Care Paramedics who created a 20+ year legacy aboard the RAC Rescue Helicopter.

Congratulations to all those recognised at the event.

“The pride and professionalism that distinguishes you in your service to the community can be felt across the state,” said Mr Paul.

“Thank you for all that you do.”
