St John WA marches with Pride
St John WA took part in this year’s Pride Parade in Perth, marking another significant step in the organisation’s ongoing commitment to inclusivity, diversity, and community care.
More than 50 St John team members joined the vibrant celebration of love, acceptance, and equality, marching alongside community members, local organisations, and activists.
The theme for this year’s Pride Parade, One Heart, Many Voices, resonated with St John’s mission to provide care and support to all Western Australians, regardless of background, gender identity, or sexual orientation.

St John WA’s participation was more than a visual presence in the parade; it was a statement of solidarity with the LGBTQIA+ community.
The service, which is known for its life-saving work on the frontlines of emergencies, said its involvement was an opportunity to demonstrate the values that define it.
St John WA’s Deputy Director Paramedicine Andy Bell said attending the parade was “an absolute pleasure”.
“As we made our way through the streets, glowsticks and rainbow flags held high, the thing that struck me the most was the incredible outpouring of public support for everyone involved,” he said.
“It was such an honour to be able to celebrate inclusivity and diversity by supporting the LGBTQI+ community and made me very proud to see our St John team contributing to this amazing event.”

St John plans to continue its efforts to support and advocate for the LGBTQIA+ community, both through community outreach and internal policies promoting inclusivity within the organisation.
We are committed to continuous improvement and leveraging our diversity to unite us as one strong St John WA team.
