St John WA’s commitment remains steadfast
Our St John WA crew continues to work on the frontline during these unprecedented times.
The organisation has been serving the Western Australian community for more than 130 years, providing vital care and support across the regions of WA.
Our job to save lives and help those in need is as important as ever, as we move forward during this never before experienced global health emergency. We will continue to respond to the needs of the community – now, in the coming weeks and months, as this ever-changing situation unfolds.
We are here to actively help and support West Australians every day in many different ways.
 | A St John ambulance service is just a phone call away. If you are suffering a significant health emergency, West Australians can call triple zero (000) for emergency ambulance assistance. |
 | Our fleet of state of the art ambulances feature the latest innovation in life saving equipment for assisting those in need across metro and regional Western Australia. |
 | St John WA services the entire WA region from the Kimberley to the Great Southern. St John provides access to health and emergency support across the state. |
 | First Aid support is available on our website and through St John WA’s phone applications. First Aid kits are also available for purchase online to ensure safety is a priority no matter the environment. |
 | St John Medical has moved to Telehealth (video and phone consultations). St John Urgent Care centres are still operating but we ask that patients call before visiting. St John Dental Service is open for emergencies. Go to stjohnhealth.com.au |
 | St John continues to be at the forefront of new innovations in an endeavour to make access to health care as accessible as possible. The St John First Responder app is one such tool that can provide users with valuable emergency response guidance, and important first aid information. |
In order to maintain the safety and health of our people and others, we have made the decision to suspend some of our programs and services, including first aid training, free first aid training for schools, and all events activity (both public and internal). St John has been and will continue to, work closely with State Government agencies, Department of Health and emergency service organisations so that we can respond to the evolving needs of the community during these exceptional times.
St John staff and volunteers manage infectious diseases every day, and are equipped with the necessary training, personal protective equipment and resources to ensure they are not at risk. As per standard clinical cleaning procedures, all transport vehicles are also appropriately sanitised after use.
These are difficult times and that means we have had to make difficult decisions, but all are made in-line with public health advice and with the wellbeing and safety of our people and the community as the priority.
We want to assure everyone that just as we have for over 100 years in WA, we will continue to be unrelenting in our dedication and commitment in the Service of Humanity.
