St John WA celebrates with Pride
St John WA has once again taken part in the PrideFEST Parade, marching in solidarity and celebration with the LGBTQIA+ community.
Perth’s annual PrideFEST is an opportunity for SJWA to demonstrate its ongoing support for all people across the organisation and the wider West Australian community.
The event included the family-friendly FairDay in the Supreme Court Gardens, and the parade through the streets of Northbridge on November 23.
“This is important for St John WA because we serve humanity and we want to make sure we are representative of the community we serve,” SJWA Diversity, Inclusion & Belonging Specialist Caitlin Condon said.
Close to 100 SJWA team members took part in the parade, donning either their greens or their specially designed Pride t-shirts as they danced and waved their way through Northbridge.
“It’s amazing walking in here, how many people see St John and smile and appreciate our presence here,” Chief Preventative Officer Megs O’Donnell said.
